Property Operations: From Manual Work to AI Agents and Live Property Monitoring
A US property operations company ran maintenance coordination, tenant communication, leasing and bookkeeping largely by hand. Over the last five months, Paranjay has led the data & AI work: data pipelines, AI agents that take over repetitive workflows, and sensor data from properties for automatic monitoring.
This engagement is ongoing. The client asked to stay anonymized, so we describe the work and the approach without naming the company.

The situation
A US property operations company runs day-to-day operations for property managers: maintenance coordination, tenant communication, leasing and bookkeeping. Much of that work was done by hand, across the many property-management systems its customers use.
Operations work like this is repetitive, time-sensitive and spread across systems — exactly where AI agents can help. But agents are only as good as the data they can see. And the properties themselves were largely invisible: problems were found when a tenant reported them, not when they started.
What we're doing
Data first. Before automating anything, we built data pipelines that pull operational data out of property-management software into one consistent shape — so agents and reports work from the same, reliable picture.
Then AI agents. On that foundation, operations-heavy, repetitive workflows are moving from people to AI agents, step by step, with people staying in the loop where judgment matters.
Then the physical side. We're bringing sensor data from properties into the same platform, so properties can be monitored automatically — catching issues from the data itself, not only from tenant calls.
Why it matters
Most "AI for operations" projects start with the agent and discover the data problems later. Starting with the pipelines means each new agent is faster to build and easier to trust — and adding sensor data turns the platform from a record of what happened into an early warning of what's about to.
It's the same principle we apply to machines, vehicles and energy assets: get both kinds of data right — operational knowledge and sensor signals — and the AI follows.
